Daniela finds the door's key in the Warren's home office and starts exploring and touching artifacts, ultimately trying to contact her late father with an artifact called the Mourner's Bracelet. Filming
In early April 2018, Warner Bros. announced that a then-untitled film in the Conjuring Universe franchise would be released on July 3, 2019. During the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con, Wan and Safran revealed the film's events would take place after Annabelle and would focus on the doll after she had been placed in a glass case in the Warrens' museum. Dauberman later confirmed this, stating that the film would take place shortly after the beginning of The Conjuring where the titular character is introduced, but also before many of the events of the first installment.

A Chance Encounter ReviewI think this third Annabelle movie was trying to keep the cycle of Conjuverse going, and somehow, it successfully did. The attention to detail through design, the cinematography, and the film score makes the movie look and feels very much retro, and the effort with it, is paid-off. It also emphasize the theme about facing-your-fears, the compassion of friendship, and the subtle message of obidience.
All in all, everything clicks satisfyingly into place for a solid scarefest that's worth getting dolled up for. A preteen boy tells a young girl he cannot attend her party because his parents have not yet prepared him to talk about sex; stunned, she mumbles that it’s only a birthday party, but the boy walks away. A pizza delivery person tells a teen boy to woo a teen girl with rock n’ roll; so the boy serenades the girl with his guitar at night under her window.
